Merri-bek City Council events are proudly plastic wise, eliminating key single-use plastic items as part of Merri-bek City Council’s Plastic Wise Policy.
Gilpin Park
The bars at Gilpin Park serve cups that are reusable and cans which are the preferred environmental containers for festivals.

Food Trucks
As much as is possible, the food at our events is served in plastic free packaging and recyclable packing. Make sure you recycle using the bins provided. That way we can keep it out of landfill.
Drinking Water
All outdoor events have hydration stations. Please bring your water bottle and refill to stay hydrated.
Coffee, tea or juice
Whatever your preferred drink, please bring a reusable cup to reduce waste. Don’t forget cups for your children too, bring your own straw to reduce waste.
Brunswick Music Festival acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as the Traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Merri-bek, and pays respect to their Elders past and present, and to all First Nations people and communities. BMF embraces their traditional and contemporary cultural and creative expression and significant contribution to life in the area.
